The wedding team at The Green Room is formed by The Green Room Team and Blooming Róża, a Kent-based wedding styling and planning service. We work together to ensure that our guests have the best wedding planning and wedding day experience possible.
The Green Rooms connection with Blooming Róża means we can offer you the perfect level of planning support and venue styling, alongside the excellent event space and bar services The Green Room team offers.
Katie and Joseph took on The Green Room at The Grand in January 2023 and since then, they’ve organised over 80 public events. They hosted concerts, talks, exhibitions, performances and film screenings largely attended by Folkestone’s audience. They also organised private parties, wakes, and in August 2023, their very own, their own “surrealist-themed” wedding in The Green Room of The Grand!
As artists and curators, they understand the importance of a bespoke experience and together with Maisie from Blooming Róża, aim to provide future brides and grooms with weddings of their dreams.
Maisie Golding-Cocozza has a wealth of experience in events and wedding planning. She loves the logistical and creative elements each wedding needs, as well as working with couples to make sure their big day is as personal and perfect as possible. Maisie is the Lead Wedding Planner at Blooming Róża and was pleased to be welcomed by The Green Room to take on our Wedding Coordinator role in 2023. Together, with Katie and Joseph, she has pulled together every ounce of her knowledge from the events and wedding industry to create wedding packages that are flexible and give couples the best level of support from her and the Blooming Róża team when planning their big day.
Being a former bride herself, Maisie really understands how important a good wedding journey experience is for couples. After saving and planning their wedding for years, she and her husband were extremely pleased when their day arrived. The years of saving, hours of consideration of the day should look like, and the hiccups that come with it are indeed worth it. Maisie will always aim to ensure the couples she works with have the most enjoyable and smooth wedding experience possible.
Maisie is pleased to offer couples Wedding Coordination and Wedding Planning options in our wedding packages. A lot of venues tend to offer a ‘wedding planner’ that supports the organisation of your wedding six months before the big day. Many would tell you in the wedding industry that this is more of a venue liaison role than a full wedding planner role. We do things a little differently at The Green Room to ensure you get the best support possible for your big day.
Our packages give you the option to pick your level of planning support. If you love the planning process yourselves and rather go for support with the coordination of your day we recommend the ‘Wedding Coordinator’ option. If you want support with planning the finer details of your day, which includes quote sourcing from suppliers and researching the best options for you, we recommend the ‘Wedding Planner’ option, which means Maisie will give you the full support of a wedding planner.
